OREG Fall Symposium Building the Ocean Energy Supply Chain October 25th and 26th - Saint John, New Brunswick
OREG would like to thank all the speakers and participants for making the 2007 Fall Symposium a wonderful success. We were glad to see so many new faces, joining the ocean energy community. Approximately 110 people were there for the presentations and networking, and four major announcements!
We will be building a webpage on the event, a brief summary and some presentations are now online, more to come soon!
A special thank you to everyone at the New Brunswick Department of Energy for their logistical and planning support and assistance at the event. OREG News
November will be another busy month for OREG staff! OREG will have a stand at the IPPBC annual conference sIPP and grIPP reception from 4:30 to 6:00 on Monday the 5th. The event is an opportunity for delegates to network and look through posters and displays before the gala reception. Event information
Chris Campbell will be the guest speaker at the November 7th Energy at Dalhousie Lecture Series event. More information on Energy at Dalhousie can be found online or by contacting Andrew Henry.
Jessica McIlroy will be participating in the Natural Resources Canada Ocean Energy Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting on November 20th. The CANMET Energy Technology Centre of NRCan has formed the TAC to allow a cross section of the industry to input into NRCan's ocean energy R&D plans.
Jessica will also be moderating an ocean energy panel at the Pacific Clean Energy Forum in Portland on November 28th. OREG Chair Mary Jane Parks will be participating in the panel to provide an overview of the ocean energy activities along the Pacific, and within OREG. More information on the event can be found online, draft agenda.
